SPLASH!

SPLASH! is an interactive, community-based, variety-show that explores race and culture in Milwaukee. The backbone of SPLASH! is a trivia-game that awards contestants paint-filled water balloons used to co-produce an original public artwork. The cathartic bursts of color bring balance and accessibility to the trivia-based investigation of challenging subjects like race and the socio-economic dynamics of Milwaukee.

SPLASH! attracts participants of every age, race, sex, and class, for education, celebration and healing. This diverse group learns, laughs, and creates together, co-producing fond memories and a fresh sense of belonging in the city.
